Foong Lian’s specialty is cooking claypot rice on traditional charcoal oven. Decades ago, Foong Lian started as a road side stall in Pudu. At that time, we only served Claypot Chicken Rice and Claypot Chinese Sausage Rice during dinner. After more than a year, we decided to move to a dedicated shop lot (yes, the current spot of the Pudu outlet) for longer operation hour (honestly, because of it was hard to earn a living, we had to work long hours).
With the new premise, Foong Lian can gradually serve more variety of claypot rice to cater to different needs of customers. With the support from our highly satisfied and loyal customers, Foong Lian is now able to expand it operations in other part of the city.
